Welcome to the meCash API! This guide walks you through the steps to create an API key for integrating MeCash services into your application. To use the meCash API, you must first create a business account.

Step 1: Create a Business Account

1. Visit the meCash website.

2. Select Business and Click on Sign Up.

3. You will be directed to the Create your meCash business account page.

4. Fill out the registration form with the following details:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Business Name
• Business Email Address
• Password (and confirm it)

5. Click Continue to create your account.

6. A verification email will be sent to your registered email. Click the link in the email to verify your account

Step 2: Complete KYB Verification for API Access

For secure and compliant API access, you must complete the KYB verification process.

1. After creating your business profile, navigate to the KYB Verification section from your dashboard. Click on the “Complete Setup Now“.

2. You will be directed to the Business Contact Form Page, where you’ll fill out some personal information. After that, you will be directed to the Business Details page.

Note: The first name and last name used here must match the first and last name on the Business Director's BVN used for verification.

3. On the Business Details page, upload the required documents (e.g., business registration certificate, valid ID, proof of address).

4. Submit your documents for review.

5. Wait for approval. You will be notified once your KYB is successfully verified.
